
MID-MARYLAND INDOOR
LACROSSE LEAGUE RULES
Rules of the game will follow NFHS lacrosse rules for boys youth league lacrosse.
Offensive language and / or excessively rough or unnecessary roughness will result in player ejection.
FIGHTING will NOT be tolerated. If a player is ejected for fighting he is automatically suspended for the remainder of the season.
Teams will play 7 v 7 with goalies. (2 Midfielders, 2 Attack, 2 Defensemen and 1 Goalie).
Long poles are permitted.
Games will be two 26 minute running time halves. Each game will start promptly at each half hour.
No timeouts. No half time.
All substitutions are on the fly.
Teams must keep 1 Defensemen and 1 Attackman back at all times.
Offense is allowed 5 players on the offensive side of the field. One of these players can be the goalie.
Run and Gun style. No face-offs after a goal is scored. Goalie clears the ball upon officials whistle.
Teams have fifteen seconds to advance the ball over the midfield line on a clear.
Goalie has four seconds in the crease. Violation of either results in a free clear for the opposing team at the midfield line.
Greenbelt Sportsplex is lined. End lines and sidelines are in effect.
Games ending in a tie during regulation will result in one (2) minute sudden-death overtime. If the game remains tied, one (1) minute Braveheart style sudden-death period is played.
Braveheart rules: One goalie and one other player from each team play. One player must stay on the defensive side of the field.
